Chiropractor jailed, fined for workers’ comp fraud

A Salinas chiropractor was condemned to 30 days in jail and fined $5,000 on 3 misconduct depends of workers’ remuneration rascal Tuesday, Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo announced.
Robert Schreiner, 59, was condemned to 3 years trial by Judge Marla Anderson and was systematic to compensate $1,977 in remuneration to an word trust fund.
Schreiner is authorised for a work choice program, Flippo said.
The box originated in Oct 2006, when dual employees of enclosure business Smurfit-Stone complained to a District Attorney’s Office that workers were being disheartened from opening workers’ remuneration claims during a Salinas plant.

Smurfit-Stone paid for 8 treatments. Schreiner attempted to get a workman to compensate for 52 some-more treatments by
his private health insurance, Flippo said, and a workman was dismissed after a workers’ remuneration box was filed.
Schreiner testified that he was usually concerned in a “wellness program” with Smurfit-Stone, Flippo said, though during interrogate he certified that 5 of a 6 employees reported they were there for work-related injuries. Records seemed not to be finish on a sixth worker.
